Magrat

Please join us in welcoming our newest Pure Neemo member:

Magrat

The name comes from a witch in the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett.

She is a Majokko Sera / Little Witch of The Wisdom

and she is just cute as a button.

More pictures of her will be posted later, and Squeak has decided to hold off her birthday celebrations until tomorrow, when it will also be Ella's birthday, and they can celebrate together. :)

Nazreem Eggs

Me: Look, Luna, I found this for you guys at Goodwill today!
Luna: Oh. That's lovely. I'm sure we'll all travel very comfortably in the shell of a giant Nazreem Egg.
Me: Uh, what? What's a Nazreem?

Luna: How curious, you bought the egg of one and have never even heard of them!
Me: But... what is it?!
Luna: *wanders off*

Mickey Mouse

I took a little time today to better organize the "Meet the Neemos" tab...
So please stop by to see the changes and learn a little bit more about them
(I added info to all of their bios)

However, while organizing them alphabetically... I noticed something,
since these two come one right after another:

Would you look at that? Mickey Mouse... or, Miki Mouse, as the case may be!

Loots for a little Witch

A friend of Heather's just spent a week whisked away to a magical land.
While there, she had the chance to visit Hogwarts... and of course, all the little witches here got VERY excited! So when she returned with goodies, well, all of the little witches were interested, but none so much as Prue... and when Prue found out there were Pygmy Puffs among the goodies brought back... well... let's just say Prue has some new pets.

She named  the little purple one Arnold (hmm, wonder why...) and the pink one Susie.

The pink one is so big!

Heather's friend also brought the girls 4 new puppies to take care of!
Aren't they cute!!
They'll all need names!

She also brought a Kokeshi doll that is Neemo size, a delicious dessert and a Hello Kitty charm that is 100% Pure Florida! We wonder if there are ones for other states too!

Prue: Thanks for stopping by, everyone! Also... uh... don't miss my super cute ice cream necklace by Retrograde!!!

Introduction of a new girl, review of Azone clothes and explaining my naming process

Another girl has joined the fold here at The Majokko Shop, but today her introduction will not be done by Twig (I know, I'm sorry... Twig is pretty good at them)

Her company name is:

[EX☆CUTE] Majokko☆Chiika / littlewitch of the heart

and my name for her is Bridget.

Now, I know there are a lot of girls living here, so I thought I'd break down the naming process for a few of the girls... because there actually is one.

Every single Pure Neemo who is from the [EX☆CUTE] Majokko series is named after a witch. Here are the girl's names listed, with the source for those names:

Prue: Charmed
Samantha: Bewitched
Sophie: Howl's Moving Castle
Bridget: Practical Magic

... I'm waiting for the day when I add one of the witches from Discworld. I *really* want a Weatherwax... but just haven't met the Neemo that fits that name yet XD

I was tempted to name Bridget "Tiffany" (Wee Free Men series)... but I just can't see this girl dealing with Nac Mac Feegle AT ALL.

Next!
All of my girls from the Madoka series just keep their names from the anime.

Simple enough.
Everyone else is sort of helter-skelter on name origin... so if their names come from a special source, I'll list it below:

Kana and Anise are named after the two main human characters in my favorite online comic:

Pita is actually named after Peeta from The Hunger Games... I just thought, as a Neemo, his name would be cuter with the actual bread spelling.

Alice is named after Alice from Alice in Wonderland, which I love... and considering my girl's default outfit and name, this one *really* wasn't a stretch of the imagination.

Let's move on though... When Bridget arrived, so did some new fashions!
These are from Azone's newest collection for Pure Neemos:

Alisa is really loving her new outfit, and borrowing Anna's hat and shoes is a lot of fun. The skirt is actually part of a Bratz outfit, but all the rest of this outfit is Azone brand.
Anna is really loving her new outfit, it fits her great and she feels so stylish! This entire outfit is Azone brand.
This jumper was the only item I took issue with (and it was the most expensive too)... it's supposed to be for a S size body, but it's even big on the M size body. I'm a little unhappy with that. It's still cute, but it's a lot bulkier and not as well fitted as most Azone Pure Neemo clothes are. The top on this outfit is actually a Bratz top, but the rest of the outfit is Azone brand.

I am really in love with some of these and will have to buy more I think.

[Such a Doll] The arrival of [Ex Cute] Classic Alice Koron... maybe...

Twig: Hum de dum dum dum de dum *looking at her sketches*

Twig: Oh! Hi everyone *hides sketches*... it's me again... I wouldn't be back so soon,

Twig: but I've got a new girl to review. She's another Pure Neemo,
an older one this time, but not too old...

Twig: Her name is:
*whips bubblewrap off for the big reveal*

[Ex Cute] Classic Alice Koron

Twig: Isn't she... uh... isn't she... uh... Alice? Where's ALICE?!

Twig: WHY? WHYYYY? I'M DOOMED!!! I'VE LOST A DOLLY!!!!

Twig: I'm in so much trouble... I'll never be able to explain this... where could she have gone?
Carrot walks up to see what Twig is crying about.
Carrot: Twig, what's wrong?
Twig: Oh, Carrot... I've lost the doll I'm supposed to review...
she was here, in this box, and now she's gone!
The commotion is drawing a crowd!
Carrot: That's terrible! *pats Twig on the head* There, there, I'll help you look!
Mouse: What's going on?!
Carrot: Twig can't find the new girl she's supposed to be doing a review on.
Mouse: Oh, that's bad... I'll help look too.
Twig: *sniffle* R... really?? *sniffle*
Mouse: Of course!
Twig: Alright! Let's go!
Carrot: Boy, she sure snaps back quick.
Mouse: No doubt...

Twig: There she is! I'll karate chop her and then you two grab her and we'll drag her back to her box!
Carrot: Uh... Twig...
Mouse:I don't think this is the new girl...

Sophie: *waves at Twig* Uh, yeah, it's me, Sophie, I just put my default outfit back on.

Twig: Oh, oh, hi Sophie, sorry, my mistake. The girl I'm looking for is kinda frilly too.

*a mysterious, and beautiful, pair of shoes comes shuffling up*

Alice: Hello, everyone! My name is Alice!

Alice: Hi!
Twig: AHHHH!! ALICE!!! Why aren't you in your box?!
Alice: It was stuffy :(
Sophie: Ah, so this is who you were looking for, I can see why you made the mistake!
That is a lovely dress, Alice! My name is Sophie, pleased to meet you!
Alice: Why, thank you! Pleased to meet you too!
Carrot: *shouts at the top of her lungs* ALICE!!!!!!!!!!
Mouse: Oh my! Hello, Alice!

Carrot: *GLOMP*
Alice: AHHHHHH!
Twig: Whoa....

Carrot: We haven't seen you in forever! We missed you so much!! *hugs Alice*
Mouse: Alice, I'm so glad to see you're doing ok! We worried so much about you being left behind!
Alice: *blushes* Oh, thank you! I didn't know you were so concerned! I missed you terribly!
Mouse, Carrot and Alice used to live together at baldylox's house, but then Carrot and Mouse moved here, and Alice was left behind... ever since then, Carrot and Mouse have been very worried about Alice. They all missed each other terribly!
Alice: I am so pleased to be here! I'm so happy!
Sophie: You know, you *do* look kinda familiar...
Sophie and Alice are both the Koron face... they *should* look similar, LOL!
Alice: Thank you for welcoming me!
Sophie: No, seriously... you look *REALLY* familiar!
LOL, poor Sophie!
Twig: *whew* Ok! Now that that's done, let's get on with the review!
This is Alice's box... it's also cardboard, with Ex Cute printed on it, but the blue part with Koron's name is a sticker. I suspect they used this same box for Black Alice Lien too...

Twig: Since her picture is also printed on the back!
I have to say, the newer boxes are much more clever in terms of pricing... they are clear plastic, and all the naming and branding is on card stock paper that slips inside. It looks much snazzier than these older boxes too... or even Madoka's box!

Twig: Alice comes with her little bunny, a hair bow, those beautiful shoes, stockings, pantaloons, an apron and a blue dress! Everything in her set is just beautiful, and very, very well made!
She does have an older body, though, and her ankle joints are very weak... so I suspect that body may be replaced in the near future.

Anyhow, thank you for listening to me again as I babble about dollies!
And a great big welcome to Alice!!!

[All That Glitters] Robot Mood Ring

 Good Morning, Everyone!
Sophie here!

I found the most amazing thing the other day while I was out shopping.
Do you ever just go into some random store you would never usually go into, and then just find the most amazing thing?
That is what happened to me!

I stopped into a 7/11, something I never do, because Pita, Bunny and Peapod wanted some potato chips while they studied, and it was the fastest stop on my way back from the mall.

ANYHOW! The point is, when I went up to the counter to buy the chips, I saw THESE!!!!

This picture shows just the one ring... it's the most changey mood ring I've ever seen!
It's so awesome!

But... what does a little girl like me do with a ring like this?
(Too bad it's not going to fit on my finger)

The solution is simple :) I now have the coolest hair tie ever!
Adjustable rings make AWESOME hair ties!

 Have you ever tried them?
You should!

[Stepping Out] What kinds of Barbie shoes can a Pure Neemo wear?

Hey, this is Samantha here. Welcome to Stepping Out, where I talk about one of my favorite things, SHOES.

Recently I had someone ask about what kinds of shoes will fit us Pure Neemos.
Good question.
Today I'm going to focus mainly on Mattel brand shoes.
Why?
Because for most people, they're pretty easy to get a hold of.

First up, and I'm pretty excited about this:

Mattel's StarDolls shoes WILL FIT Pure Neemos PERFECTLY!
There are the dolls shown above, as well as clothing packs that come with shoes such as these:
They fit great, slip on and off easily and are very stylish.

Next up, I'll talk about Barbie shoes.
First off, a LOT of Barbie shoes won't work.
For example:
The shoes from the Barbie Basics generally don't fit, they're too slim.

Hi! Madoka here! I'm helping Samantha out! Hehe!
Which is sad, because they're awfully stylish.

But a lot of other Barbie shoes WILL fit:

One of my favorites are these tennis shoes. They have been made in tons of different colors and pretty much all fit. It's not hard to find a nice color to match almost any outfit!
Barbie boots, on the other hand, are often a problem, and usually are too tight.
This style of boot, however, fits nicely, and sometimes if you cut a slit up the back of the boot, they will fit quite well without anyone being able to tell that you cut a slit there!

Bad news when it comes to Barbie high heels though... a lot of the new ones don't fit. Much like the Barbie Basics shoes, they're just too thin. What can I say, we Pure Neemos have fat feet. :(
Now, select ones will fit, mostly from older Barbie sets (like the ones pictured below)... but don't be fooled, even ones that look EXACTLY like these will sometimes not fit. You really don't know until you try them on...
But... how does one do that?
GO TO A DOLL SHOW!
They happen all over, all the time, and often sellers will be there with collections of old Barbie clothes and shoes... and you can try them on, pair by pair. :)

Something that is usually a safe bet, though, are Barbie flats. They almost always fit, and they're pretty cute too! This also counts Ballerina shoes, which tend to fit quite nicely, but are sometimes hard to stand in.

Don't be afraid of shoes with bits like this either... I mean, you'll have to use your best judgement, but usually, especially if the plastic is bendy, they will fit. These particular shoes fit splendidly!

Another type of Barbie shoe that fits wonderfully are the hightops!
If it looks like a Converse, chances are, unless they change the mold, it's going to fit great!

As for other Barbie shoes... well, it's really trial and error... some work, and other ones that look exactly like them don't. All the shoes pictured below work wonderfully... but if you look at the style of the red shoe in the second row from the left, that style of shoe often doesn't work... so it's really a "try it on" kinda deal. Again, get yourself to a doll show! It's the best way to really try these things out! Or buy yourself a cheap lot of Barbie shoes on ebay... but be prepared to face some disappointment that way... it's always better if you can just try them on!

Now, these shoes with the imprints on the bottom, I can only assume came from a very specific Barbie... I don't know who she is... but her shoes fit great! So if you find shoes with funny little pictures on the bottom, try them on! You get stylish shoes AND a stylish shoe tread!

Finally, I'd like to talk about this style of shoe... what is seemingly Mattel's favorite style to include with Barbie accessory and clothing packs these days. The shoes are high-heeled and often over the top in design (always very fashionable, never everyday) but they almost always fit! If they have slits up the back, you can usually wear them! I've gotten many of these shoes and have been able to wear every pair. I can even stand in them! Remember though, it's only this style of high heel... the style like the Barbie Basics one I showed you earlier, will not work.
These kinds of shoes, pictured below, FIT GREAT!

Now, as far as I know, these aren't Mattel... about 8 years ago, there were Card Captor Sakura dolls released here in the US... and they had great clothes and shoes that fit us Pure Neemos perfectly.
Here are 4 pair from different dolls... I'll do a search later and try to find a picture of one of the dolls to share... but at the moment, I could only find the ones that were made in Japan.

Anyways, I hope this helped you out at least a little.
And remember, all the shoes I've tried on from the Barbie Basics sets DON'T WORK.
But generally, the ones from the clothing packs do.
