Images from the Icepocalyse

I just wanted to share some pictures I took of the Icepocalypse:
This ice storm happened about 13 days ago... and we still have friends staying with us at our house because they don't have power. I feel so sorry for them... I'm sure they just want to be in their own home!

  1. It feels wrong to say this about Icepocalypse, but these pictures are really beautiful! I love the second to last one~
Reminds me of how long its been since I've even seen ice like this. It hasn't even snowed here since 2010. Of course, once life after school starts, snow loses a little bit of its magic XD

    1. Oh no, I totally agree, it's why I had to run out there and take photos... even though it was probably really dangerous to do XD

Do you know we had a snow day here last Monday??? Like... for businesses too... I didn't have to go to work, it was AMAZING!!!!

  2. I'm sitting here praying I don't lose power right now with the snow storm we are having on the north east coast, but some of those pictures are just stunning! 13 days with no power!? I just... can't...no... I'm so sorry for your friends!

    1. Haha, I think sometimes snow is better to look at then to be in XD I've always said I would love snow if I didn't have to leave my house in the winter. (although admittedly, it is fun to go and play in it once in a while XD )

  4. There's a kind of amazing but insidious beauty in these images. Amazing in how the scenery is transformed and almost magical looking but insidious due to the very real damage and danger these storms cause.

    1. Oh, no doubt... they always remind you of that insidious bit on the news as they report how many deaths can be attributed to the storm -_- Yikes!

    1. Yeah... I can't believe how lucky Amy was being on the two blocks with power, lol! It's good though, since they don't have other family in town to go stay with.... but yeah... it was really, really beautiful... just a real pain in the arse too!
