Azone Clothing Review: Knit Cap & Off-Shoulder Knit One-Piece Sets

Time for an Azone clothing review!

This time around, we'll review these cute little sweater/hat sets!

They are called the
Knit Cap & Off-Shoulder Knit One-Piece Sets

It's not easy to tell, but the middle one is actually cream with a white pompom.

Ok, so, let's start off with the good!

These are INCREDIBLY cute little knit pieces.
I always love when Azone does delicate knits!

These particular sweaters are lined on the inside with a more sturdy fabric as well,
so they are not as delicate as they look!

The colors are lovely, and the fit is cute!
They do fit some bodies better than others though, let's take a look:

First let's take a look at Mio, the gal with the Large Bust!
(I have put my Mio torso on an L body)

I really like the fit of this sweater on her...
it works with the curves XD

Next up is Mia, on an M body!
Still a cute fit!

Now for Miu on the S body!
Even on the S body, where it starts to bunch up a little,
it's still awfully cute looking... although none of them really were able to pull off the "Off the Shoulder" claim... the sweater would just pop back up again.

Now for the bad.
If you look at the pics above, you'll notice that the hats sit high on the head, and the hems on them are unrolled a bit... that's because of this:

The inside gathering of the hat fabric is not the most well done. It's lumpy and bulky, and pushes the hats up higher on their heads. If I didn't unfurl the hat hems a little, the hats would pop off all the time... which is a little disappointing.

I have other winter pompom hats that were made in earlier years from Azone, and they do not have this problem, so I'm wondering if it was just too rushed of a production schedule? Or maybe just the difference in fabric types? I don't know.

All-in-all though, not a huge deal, and the outfits still look super cute in pictures!

Murasaki.me Review

Momo: Oh! Hello everyone! Uhm... I don't think we've met...
my name is Momo, I'm pretty new around here, but, uhm, I hope you'll like me!
So, uhm, this review is a little different from other ones we've had.
This one is for 1/3 scale dolls (Barbie and Azone Pure Neemos are 1/6 scale)
I hope you'll enjoy it!

We are going to partake in 3 days of fun!
Day 1 (today!!)
of this Murasaki.me bonanza is going to be a product review!
The next three days (including today) of excitement will break down like this:
Day 1: Product Review
Day 2: Interview with Kuraikawai, the talent behind Murasaki.me
Day 3: GIVEAWAY!!!! (It's so cute I don't want to give it away ;_; )
I recently purchased a long sleeved shirt from
Murasaki.me and it's the best fitting shirt ever to be worn around here!!!
It has Danny Choo's Moekana Mirai character on it in a Kimono.
One thing you'll learn tomorrow... Kuraikawai has teamed up with some awesome artists to give us really super cute printed t-shirts!!!
Let's take a look at some pictures!

Momo: So let's start at the top! I am super impressed with the tiny neck hem, and the even, lovely stitching on these shirts! Knit fabrics are hard to sew so small, and this shirt is impeccably sewn!!
Have I mentioned this little bow clip came with my shirt too?

Momo: Closer look! The decal is one of those nice ones that is waterproof, so it's not going to get blotchy if a raindrop drops on it (Heather has had this happen with another brand, an expensive brand cough*jadenesscouture*cough and she was none too happy about it.)
It also does well stretching over my head and other body bits... it didn't tear or split or any of those nasty things that can happen with cheap iron-on decals... this product is QUALITY!

Momo: The back of the shirt is well fitted and perfect! (please disregard the little bit of lumpiness you see... I'm, er... wearing a bra -_-;; )

Momo: The sleeves are AWESOME! They're well fitted... but still allow for easy flowing movement.
You really couldn't ask for better sleeve design!

Momo: I can move all around, into many different poses, and the shirt keeps its awesome fit! The sleeves don't ride up, and neither does the hem... it's an amazingly crafted shirt... so... in conclusion...

Momo: BEST SHIRT EVER!! For serious!
Make sure you tune in tomorrow for a really awesome interview!!!!
Seriously, after talking to Kuraikawai, she's so sweet that I want to buy even more shirts from her... not just because they're awesome, but because she's awesome too!
(fyi, "for serious" means "Totally" or "I'm totally serious about what I just said!")

Maybe you'd like to order your own shirt?
(trust me, there are SO MANY awesome designs to choose from!)

Check out Murasaki.me's shop here:

 Whut the whut???
We all recognize the center girl, that's the Pipi Carat girl, Neemo,
but... Pico Neemo version on the right?
And TOTAL MYSTERY HUGE HEAD VERSION on the left????

No idea what the doll on the left is (other than Ms. Neemo in another form)
Will they be releasing more like her?
Is she the start of a new line?
Who knows.
Who knows. *shakes head*

Cute as cute can be!

Sometimes,
when you've got a Neemo girl with long,
unruly hair,
the best thing to do is give it a little style!

BAH! CUTEST THING EVER!!!

Alisa: It looks cute from the front too!

(Her entire outfit is made by Azone except the necklace,
which was made by me :) )

Friday Azone Update

Time for Friday's Azone Update!
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Azone has announced 2 new dolls!

First up:

©Azone

Tsugumi SHIRASAKI from the (adult game??)
Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai
which, according to Google Translate,
roughly means: Shepard of the Large Library

She is a 1/3 scale doll (Like Dollfie Dreams or SD sized BJDs)

Now, I'm just guessing that this is some sort of dating sim type game, or something along those lines... because the Azone page for this doll is filled with warnings that the links they've posted are not appropriate for people under the age of 18... which usually denotes something of a sexual nature.
If anyone knows more about this particular title, please share!

Regardless, the doll is pretty cute (although I hate imagining terrible things happening to her):

©Azone

Reservations start May 29th
Price:  ¥ 48,000 (roughly $480 USD)

Second:

Despite its naughtier sounding name,
the anime that the next girl comes from seems to be more of a Shojo
romantic comedy... definitely more innocent than the poor girl above.
©Azone

Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi from
The 'Hentai' Prince and the Stony Cat
seems to be a girl who has lost her emotions after a run in with
"The Stony Cat" (I'm guessing it also is her nickname)... at least, that's all I can gather online.
If anyone knows more about this, please let me know!

She is a 1/6 scale doll (Like Barbies, Pure Neemos, Momoko, Misaki, FR, etc (although a bit shorter than the Fashion Dolls))

Reservations start May 31st
Price:  ¥ 12,000 (roughly $120 USD)

Pipit gets an idea...

Pipit: Hey, pup... what's this? There's something written on the calendar for this Saturday...
What's that Heather up to?

Pipit: What's "ACEN"?

Pipit: We'll get to the bottom of this... *goes to the computer and googles ACEN*

Pipit: *reading ACEN website*

Pipit: WHAT?! An ANIME CONVENTION?? I'm sure that will just be full of collectibles!!!
That gives me an idea...

Pipit: Now I just have to go put it in action! *scampers off*
