Mid-Month Tutorial #6: agusyornet's Tiny Hangers!

Ok, so I *barely* squeaked this one in...
BUT IT'S STILL JUNE!

Let's start with the facts!
I followed the tutorial by agusyornet,

I have to say, I love folks who can make clear, precise, easy to follow tutorials in 4 steps!
I have to admit, I modified mine just a little though... but let's get crafting and you'll see!

Supplies:

1. Paperclips
2. Needle Nose Pliers
3. Wire Cutters

Here's a little tip from me...
buy a pair of Needle Nose Pliers that have built in wire cutters!

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Let's begin!
Step 1:
Pull the inner loop and the longer stem piece upwards.

Looking at the picture below will give you a good idea what I am talking about!
Make sure you pay attention to where the arrow is pointing in the image below.
You want that angle to feel "hangerish" to you.

Step 2:
Grab the loop end that you pulled up and bend it upwards.
You will leave the loop shape alone, that becomes your hanger hook.
I try to make it so that the hanger hook will end up centered when the hanger is finished.

Step 3:
In agusyornet's tutorial, she doesn't wrap the wire around the hanger hook, which is fine and will work great... I just like having a little more stability than that when it comes to hangers for doll clothes.
I pull the  longer stem past the hanger hook.

Step 4:
I then take and fold the longer stem over the base of the hanger hook...
it gives you one very stable little hanger!

Conclusion:
I LOVE this tutorial... there is something so satisfying about coloring these pencils and seeing them come to life.

This is such an easy and painless process for making tiny hangers!
Plus, they're Alisa tested and approved!

They really will work to hang up your dolly clothes!

The cost was minimal (my pliers cost me $3.99, the paperclips I've had around forever)
and so was the time investment.
I highly recommend you try this tutorial out!

So, I don't recognize this girl, as I'm not familiar with her anime...
but maybe someone out in the blogosphere can help out?
She's described (or was in the promo pics) as a Pure Neemo...
so if that's true, those are XS hands, so she'd be on an XS body.

Sahra, out and about

I'm not sure how it happened,
but Sahra is quickly turning into my go-to adventurer!

This isn't the "Backyard" theme for this month,
Sahra just likes to get out and about!

Sahra took a little time to check out the River Walk...
but there were angry homeless folk being evicted from their resting spot by the police...
so we only hung around the market benches.

There are some adventures you DON'T want to have!

Alna's turn!

Yesterday I shared Bird's "new" wig with you...
today, her sister, Alna:

Alna is a Japanese Idol Singer, so when she's performing, she's much more dolled up
than her sister, Bird, would ever be.

When she's not working, though, she enjoys relaxing at home
with her family and friends, and loves a laid back,
easy going style.

So much for selling wigs...

I was going through my wigs, using Alna and Bird
(both are DDdy Alnas, but one is white skin, and the other is normal skin,
and both have been rebodied)
as models... when I came to the conclusion that just about everything looked WAY
too cute on them to sell it.
BAH!

So, yeah, you might see a few pics of the girls over the next few days -_-;;

Here is Bird in a wig that I really didn't think would work on her...
and now I'm tempted to make it her "default" wig.
Just goes to show ya, always give things a chance!

Bird, like her sister, Alna, is a very stylish girl,
but hers is a more casual, laid back style.

She's a folk singer, who loves nothing more than to sit and play her guitar.
Campfires and gatherings of friends and family are her favorite thing.

She likes to be comfortable and cute. :)
Honestly, I wish I had an outfit like this one!

Her sister, Alna, taught her to pay attention to details,
they can make or break an outfit!

Another lesson learned from her sister,
Every girl's gotta have a killer pair of shoes!

New Picco Neemo Head Instructions

As some of you may know, the new Azone Picco Neemo heads,
starting with Himeno and Miu,
are softer than the older heads...

This has led to some peg issues,
so Azone put out these instructional pics!

I honestly have no idea what some of this says...
but I'm going to ad-lib it with experiences *I've* had with
heads like this, and how to work with them. LOL.

Forgive me. XD

Anyone who can read what these images say,
please feel free to leave a translation in the comments!

©Azone
If your doll's head came off the neck, but the peg is still in the head,
and the ball joint is still outside of the head (as pictured above),
squeeze the head at the base firmly,
so that the ball joint cannot be pushed into the head,
and then place the head back on the body.
(See image below)

©Azone

If the ball joint gets pushed up into the head,
or of the neck joint gets pushed into the head all together...
(See image below)

©Azone

Use a pair of needle nose plyers to pull it all the way out.
(see above)

Replace the peg in the head, and then place the head on the peg.
